Best practices for dosage

Directions for use:

• Horses (800-1200 LBS.): 1 scoop, given morning & night with their feed.
• Minis & Ponies: 1/4 scoop, twice a day.
• For larger or smaller horses, adjust accordingly. Depending on the symptoms you’re treating, some horses may need less and some may require more. It's always recommended to start slowly and work your way up.

Servings:

Some horses may only need one serving per day, if you find this works for your horse, you will be able to double the length of your supply.

Competition/Show Horses:

If you're showing in an industry that tests for THC or CBD, it's recommended to stop feeding 7 days before a competition. There will be residual benefits still present in the horse, but this product is not allowed in AQHA approved events or the racing industry, at this time.

Can hemp pellets cause a positive drug test in competition horses?

Our hemp pellets are crafted with full-spectrum, pure hemp, which contains trace amounts of THC. While the levels are extremely low and comply with federal laws, there's a slight possibility it could affect sensitive drug tests. If your horse competes, check with your governing body's regulations and possibly seek a product certified as THC-free.

Does hemp calm horses?

Absolutely. Since every horse and every situation brings about a different level of stress, it's all about finding your horse's "sweet spot" - the dose needed to take the edge off so they can focus and do their work. We suggest starting with the recommended dosage, but you have some wiggle room to go up and down with dosage, depending on your horse's individual needs and if you have a high-stress activity you're preparing them for.

Is hemp or flaxseed better for horses?

Great question. Hemp for horses is palatable, highly digestible, and a good source of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin E.
